Number 1 is very close to Le Rêve Provençal, because it’s a treasure hunt in Mirabel-aux-Baronnies. There are 3 levels of difficulty depending on age (4-6 years old, 7-9 years old and 9-12 years old) on the same 1.2 kilometer course.

The necessary information can be obtained from the Tourist Office. By the way, you can also do such a treasure hunt in Nyons.

Bonus tip: since summer 2024, there has been a paintball course in Mirabel-aux-Baronnies: Paintball Baronnies. It can be played from 7 years and from 4 people. It is also possible to join another group.

Number 2 – Accrobranche Les Barons Perchés

In the forest above Nyons, you will find the Barons Perchés treetop adventure course. There are no less than 7 courses with varying degrees of difficulty and a long zip line of no less than 250 meters. Children from 6 years old can do the green, blue and red course. Children over 1.35m can also do the brown course and children over 1.45m can do all courses and the zip line.

Number 3 – Biscuiterie de Provence

The Biscuiterie de Provence in St Maurice sur Eygues makes sweet and savoury products. There is also a free interactive museum. You can see up close how all these delicacies are made. At the end of the visit, you can also taste some of the products. Fun for young and old alike!

Number 4 – Mont Serein – in winter and in summer!

Mont Serein is the ski area of the Mont Ventoux. But you can’t go there just in winter. There is also a lot to do in the summer. All terrain karting, electric scooters, treetop adventure course, air park, tubbing, pony and horse rides and fun trampoline. Everything is possible.

The video below gives you a good impression of what you can do during the summer.

Number 5 – Observing vultures

In the mountains above Rémuzat, there is a large colony of vultures with no less than 4 different species of vultures: griffon vulture, monk vulture, Egyptian vulture and bearded vulture. You can admire these huge birds from the Rocher du Caïre above the village of Rémuzat. From the parking area, it takes fifteen minutes to walk to the viewpoint. In the village itself there is a visitor center with detailed information about the vulture colony. And from the Rocher du Caïre, you have a magnificent view.

Number 6 – Swimming or taking a dip

Besides swimming in the private swimming pool of Rêve Provençal, you can also swim in the water parks of Sagittaire (3.6 km from Rêve Provençal) and Nyonsoléïado in Nyons (8 km from Rêve).

But you can also take a dip in nature in several places. For example, at the Roman bridges of Nyons and Entrechaux. The Cascade d’Aubres is also a nice place to cool down.

Visiting a castle is always a pleasant outing with the children. Fortunately, there are plenty of castles to visit near Le Rêve Provençal. More information in our Castles in the Provence blog, which also covers specific activities for children which many castles offer. The blog also has a map on which the castles are marked. A visit to the Palace of the Popes and Avignon is fun to do with children partly because of the interactive tablet that accompanies the visit and includes a scavenger hunt.

Number 10 – Small-scale outdoor playground

La Forêt Enchantée is a small-scale outdoor playground in a forest populated by fairytale characters. Giant labyrinth, mini treetop climbing courses, various games, an educational trail and a bar. Warning: bring your own water to drink, the playground is not connected to a drinking water network.
